Five-year-old Niamh Curry desperately needs treatment in America for neuroblastoma - a rare childhood cancer that attacks nerve cells.
Intense care and surgery have not worked in the UK and doctors say there is now no hope of a cure here.
So her family - mum Samantha, dad Chris, and sister Hannah, seven - started tweeting after being told they needed to raise 450,000 to treat her in the States.
Removal company owner Chris, 39, of Wellingborough, Northants, said: "We continued with Niamh's chemotherapy to buy time, but we stayed up night after night trying to raise awareness on Twitter."
Donations started to flood in and Niamh now has over 13,200 Twitter followers.
Pop star Jessie J and telly host Jonathan Ross have retweeted Niamh's story to fans.
Comic Jason Manford has donated 1,000 - but more help is needed
Alison Moy, of the Neuroblastoma Alliance UK, said: "Niamh's treatment needs to start by summer. It's a race against time."
