Traffic Travis | West Point Man Arrested In Traffic Stop

A West Point man released from state prison to county supervision under AB 109 was arrested in San Andreas during a traffic stop last week.

Manuel Travis Grow, 38, had an active arrest warrant after allegedly cutting off his electronic ankle monitor, according to the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office.

County probation departments have been tasked with monitoringnon-violent, non-serious and non-sex offenders released from stateprisons since AB 109 took effect Oct. 1.

Calaveras County Sheriff's deputies saw Grow driving a vehicle Feb. 2 on Highway 49 and conducted a traffic stop.

Grow and his passenger, Sondra Camacho, 28, of Pioneer, were botharrested. Camacho had several misdemeanor arrest warrants, according tothe Sheriff's Office.

Grow and Camacho were both taken to Calaveras County Jail. Camachowas cited and released, while Grow remains in custody on a no bail hold.
