Traffic Travis | Joint Police Effort Nabs Driver That Fled Traffic Stop

University Police and Lincoln Police arrest driver who ran from a traffic stop.

According to University Police Sergeant Jerry Plessel, an officer stopped a car near 27th and Vine Streets after it ran a stop sign.

Plessel said the driver, 20-year-old Jordan Travis of Lincoln, got out and ran across 27th Street. The officer lost sight of Travis near 28th and S Streets.

More University of Nebraska Police officers flooded the area, searching for Travis. Lincoln Police joined the search and a K-9 tracked Travis to 33rd and S. Streets where he was arrested.

Travis was lodged in jail for failure to comply for running from police and a warrant from a previous reckless driving incident.
